Steve Grebeck, World Champion.
"Steve was a friend for over 20 years, a competitor, committed racer, and full time chassis/car builder. Steve raced personally with Mike Moran, whom supplied the power for the Halprin/Grebeck Mustang, Scca/Grebeck (Scca Attack Mustang), McNichols Plating Dodge Demon NMCA, With Mike in the Fastest Street Car NMCA, Halprin/Grebeck 2001 Mustang NMRA and others. It was Mike's job to build power and reliability and Steve's to get it to the ground with style. The records and cars tell the rest of the story." Grant Grebeck

Rod Saboury, World Champion.
Mike and I go back to not only the very '1st' Fastest Street Car Shootout in 92', but we have the distinction of also being the '1st' pair of cars down the track in qualifying. Everyone I talked to about turbo motors referred me to the same place: Moran Motorsports. I have the utmost respect for Mike's commitment to the fast improving turbo technology, and am totally confident that with his powerplant in my new 63' vette, I will achieve my goal of having one of the fastest REAL street cars of all time.
Rod Saboury - 2 time World Champion and multi-time record holder.

Tony Christian, World Champion.
After racing against Mike for years and realizing he was a good racer. I invited him to my shop in Texas and let him hang around and do his own work at Reher Morrison's shop. David Reher and I realized he was a pretty smart kid for his age. Well that was 13 years ago and he's progressed a whole bunch since then. This is the reason I picked him to finish my turbo car and gave him carte blanche to finish it the way he wants. Tony Christian

Rob Golobo, World Champion.
Moran has fixed the problems we had with our engine program and has helped team Golobo with his engine building knowledge for record setting power & reliability, we can't wait for the 08' season to kick ass.

"Mike is a magic man when it comes to using copper head gaskets on a street-driven engine. They don't leak any water, which is common." "Mike took painstaking time to ensure that the pistons are perfectly clearanced on the lower side of the block's bores." "He remembers every engine done for me. He's that good. In basic maintenance, I noticed that there's not even a shaving of metal on the magnetic pan plug. That's a testament to Moran's meticulous assembly techniques and our choice of parts."

Dale Pittman, World Champion.

"I have known Mike Moran since back in the early 1990's when we raced against him in the Fastest Street car races in the Pro Street class with Mark Tate. In 2000 we took our 1967 Camaro back out of retirement and raced in a class called NPS. After getting beat around for a year we went to Mike in the winter of 2001 with a clean sheet of paper and layed out our needs - "To help us build one of the best NPS class specific 632" BBC combinations that would give us a competitive advantage over our competition". Mike delivered and later this engine combination proved to be years ahead of its time. In 2002 we ran in a class called NPS (Nostalgia Pro Street). It was a class that was restricted to a 640" engine with only a single nitrous system that had a 0.038" jet limit in NMCA and a 0.032" jet limit in PRO. With Mikes engine in our 1967 Camaro (that weighed in at 3350 lbs) we started the 2002 racing season. By the end of the season we had finished with 8 wins, 2 R/U, set the ET records many times, and won the World Championship in NMCA that year. We even broke the 7.50 sec limit that NMCA had back in 2002 and got disqualified twice for going too fast (7.49 and 7.47 - in a heads up class). These times are still at a record pace for the NPS class (5 years later). This same engine now runs 6.81 @ 205 with only one nitrous system in our new Pro Mod style 1963 Corvette."

Red Line Oil
Owner of "We have been racing with Mike Moran going back to 1996 and his Casper Camaro. I remember him breaking an oil pump belt, thinking his engine would be toast, and seeing that everything was fine with Red Line 50wt in the pan! That really solidified our relationship, so I'm really proud to have Moran Racing Engines building our 1400hp, 540ci twin-turbo big block for our latest '57 Chevy hot rod. Mike, his staff, suppliers and contacts make his shop the go-to place when you want to build a turbo engine. There's really nothing else with the same package in the drag racing world." -Tim Kerrigan, President, Red Line Oil

Tony Baudier
Baudier Racing would like to thank Moran Racing Engines, for a powerful and reliable engine program. Our engine exceeded
the power levels that we were expecting for our Pro Street hot rod. Mike has went out of his way to make sure all of our concerns were met
and we appreciate him always being available for tune-up and engine questions. Thanks for your continued support after the sale in our
quest to bring Baudier Racing and Moran Racing Engines to many Pro-Street Titles.

Greg Blevin
"Moran's Engine building is second to none, his customer dedication is priceless." "Frickin' Mint".

Eric Kenward
I decided to use Mike Moran for my engine combinations for multiple reasons: first he was the king of street racing in my area when I was a kid and I looked up to him, he took the time to talk to me and tell me the best combination for the budget I was on(that combination set a world record the very first time out a 8.46@164 on pump gas sbc 3300 lbs. Yes wow!!! That was in 2005. Mike, I believe, is one of the greatest combination builders that I know and I believe the turbo guy to use. Mike is now in the process of building me a twin turbo little chief sbc to set some more world records. So if you want fast, reliable, and cutting edge technology you need Moran Racing Engines for a power plant.

Larry Larson, Champion of 2008 and 2009 Dragweek.
After retiring from baseball and getting bored with owning the Dallas Mavericks, I decided to go racing. There was only one engine builder that could meet my needs for an engine that could drive thousands of miles and pull into a dragstrip, and still go 8.20s on pump gas.

Alex MacNeill
"Mike Moran is a dedicated perfectionist to engine building. He always tests combinations himself before offering them to customers. He is a top-shelf person with tons of knowledge, and always puts customers first."

Gary Lebeck
"My son and I have been racing a 67 Camaro bracket car since 1989, without much luck and with lots of broken parts. I met Mike in 2000, and he built me a 540 bracket motor, single 4-barrel, no bottle. We ran 9.30's at 146. Won the 2002 NMCA Mid-Michigan bracket race-7 rounds, consistant 9.30's. In 2003 we went to the Cito 2 day race, went 6 rounds on Saturday, and 6 rounds on Sunday. Next race we went to was the 2003 Milan IHRA Motor City Nationals. Went 7 rounds and won the No-Box class--our first National event win. Everybody knows Mike builds awsome motors. But everyone doesn't know what Mike does above and beyond. We are not big shooters, we don't spend a lot of money, but Mike treats us like we are. Every season Mike takes our car to his shop, gets it running, sets the valves, times it , and gets it ready to run. How many engine builders do that. I don't have enough time or room to tell you all the help Mike has given us. But I can tell you this--been racing since 19 63--have never met a guy that treats you as good as Mike, and I would never go to another guy for anything.
